At Strategic we continue to fulfill our purpose of taking care of people and guarding the environment. Not only do we deliver high quality services, but we also commit to financially supporting organizations we believe in. These deserving organizations are chosen throughout the year by our team members. We wanted to spotlight the work these organizations are doing and encourage others to consider helping these organizations as well. The Powerstone Children’s Cancer Walk supports the Pediatric Cancer Research Foundation (PCRF). This year the foundation’s 5k/10k and half marathon featured 2600 runners and walkers with 72 different fundraising teams. We partnered with Powerstone Property Management to participate in the race and help contribute to a total of 635,000 dollars that will go toward pediatric cancer research. We hope to support this worthy cause again in 2024.

Colette’s Children’s Home exists to heal homelessness for women and children who are homeless with nowhere to turn. Since 1998, they have provided more than 5,900 homeless women and children with a safe home and nurturing environment where they obtain compassionate support and services needed to achieve self-sufficiency. We commend the work of this organization and are happy to have supported it.

The Slave 2 Nothing foundation’s mission is to free people from being enslaved to any person or substance. They fulfill their mission by providing financial support to organizations in seven states and local communities. We applaud the efforts of this foundation. Save the Children works to give children a healthy start in life, the opportunity to learn and protect from harm. When crisis strikes and children are most vulnerable, Save the Children is always among the first to respond and the last to leave. We admire the efforts of this organization as they care for kids across the globe.

We partnered with Shea Apartments, one of our core customers, to raise money for TeWinkle Middle School in Costa Mesa, CA. The school educates 560 seventh and eighth grade students. Thirty percent of the students are English language learners and many come from socioeconomically disadvantaged backgrounds. A majority of these students live in multi-family apartments which makes us feel especially connected to assisting them succeed.

Westminster Woods is a sanctuary for transformative experiences. Westminster Woods Camp and Conference Center offers year-round opportunities for connection, reflection, discovery, and growth. They offer a variety of activities from Ministries Programs, School Programs, Challenge Course, or Guest Group Rentals you’ll find that the Woods is a special place. We are happy to support a place that offers this experience to all of its visitors!

In tribute to the sacrifice made by Stephen Siller, who lost his life in the line of duty on 9/11, the Tunnel to Towers Foundation is devoted to assisting first-responders and veterans facing challenges. This organization pays homage to individuals such as Stephen, who prioritize the well-being of others. At Strategic part of our mission is to help others, and we applaud the Tunnel to Towers Foundation for caring for those who have sacrificed on behalf of our safety.

Moms in Prayer International impacts children and schools worldwide for Christ by gathering mothers to pray for their children as they navigate their education and social lives at school. Moms in Prayer started with one group and now has groups in every state and in more than 150 countries praying for kids everywhere.

Home Start is a child abuse prevention and treatment agency that has strengthened and developed San Diego’s families, communities and systems of care since 1972. To effectively prevent and treat child abuse, Home Start addresses the conditions that can contribute to risky or abusive situations like poverty, unsafe neighborhoods, lack of affordable housing and unemployment. Because this organization is based in San Diego, where we serve dozens communities, this nonprofit is close to home for Strategic.

The Gary Sinise Foundation serves our nation by honoring our defenders, veterans, first responders, their families and those in need. They do this by creating and supporting unique programs designed to entertain, educate, inspire, strengthen and build communities. We are thankful for the work the Gary Sinise Foundation does!

Hands and Feet Global’s mission is to bring the love of Jesus Christ to poverty-stricken communities through programs which aim to help people discover their true identity, meet their physical and spiritual needs, and equip them with resources that lead to a path of independence.

Food for the Poor is an interdenominational Christian ministry that serves the poor primarily in 17 countries throughout the Caribbean and Latin America. The organization provides food, housing, healthcare, education, fresh water, emergency relief, micro-enterprise solutions and much more. We are glad to help Food for the Poor make a difference worldwide.

Sheepfold Ministry opens its door to abused and forsaken women with children, helping thousands of women to find shelter, safe refuge and new beginnings in life. Sheepfold Ministry is doing incredibly important work to support those who have endured traumatic circumstances.

Last but certainly not least is Toys for Tots—an organization that collects new unwrapped toys and distribute those toys to less fortunate children at Christmas. As a nonprofit that cares for people through gift-giving, Toys for Tots is something we feel strongly about aiding and hope to continue donating to for many years!

Although maintaining a clean community is important to us, our dedication expands beyond daily operations to encompass the well-being of individuals and the environment. We believe in honesty and want our customers to know we put our money where our mouth is. With the new year coming, it is an honor to continue providing Respectful, Reliable and Responsible service, and we look forward to continuing to serve the Southern California community next year!
